MIRAGE

Dir. Elizabeth S Acevedo

If you could relive your memories, would you bother living in the present? Would you even dream of a future?

Mirage was a part of the 75th Cannes Film Festival’s Short Film Corner.

Mirage has been accepted into the 2022 Holly Shorts Competition!

Directed and written by Elizabeth S Acevedo, starring Dylan Gelula and Devon Bostick

This summer, I began an exclusive year-long mentorship with The Academy through their Gold Rising Program and interned for the prestigious CAA in their Literary Department.

“I’ve had the privilege of directing Oscar Nominee Eric Roberts, as well as Dylan Gelula and Devon Bostick in my directorial debut proof of concept short, MIRAGE. MIRAGE wrapped production in August 2021 and is now in post production.

I am currently completing my degree in Film & TV with a concentration in writing and directing at NYU Tisch with minors in the Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology and Comparative Literature. I’ve also studied at Johns Hopkins University and spent a summer in a post-graduate screenwriting program at Oxford University.

In previous years, I worked in creative development, advising major studio scripts and performing market research for Rideback Ranch (LA), worked in post production for Gigantic Studios (NYC), in advertising and production for Sotheby’s Real Estate (NYC) and in photography with National Geographic (Argentina, Chile, Ecuador).

My work has been seen in VOGUE, on the cover of THE TIMES, Stella McCartney, SBJCT Journal, Collini Milano, Reserve Magazine, Client Magazine and in The Metropolitan Museum of Art and Carnegie Hall. Columbia University featured my profile as a top young NYC change maker, and 71 Magazine named me their Next Generation Artist.”
